Ever want to see the behind the scenes footage of what goes in to building your own home?? Earlier this year I was set on a journey to rebuild my house after a house fire. As I started on this path I found that there's so many videos out there about how to do different things but there wasn't anything specifically on how to build a whole house as an owner builder. As the homeowner I was allowed to build my own home, I just had to learn how. This series is my attempt to document the whole process and all of the new and valuable lessons I'm learning along the way.
This is part 6 of the series and in this episode I everything that goes into installing a foundation drain around a new basement. The drain is going to help keep your basement dry if water ever gets down near the footers.
I didn't have any videos to watch when I was preparing to do this myself so I figured I would do what I could to document the process I took. I'm definitely no pro and there's a lot I wish I would've captured looking back on it but I hope this video proves useful and hopefully gives some context behind everything.
