The afterthought heel is a wonderful heel pattern that allows you to continue the pattern in an uninterrupted way. The heel is knitted later on and only requires decreases. It's super easy to knit and it's quite fitted (so perfect for people with narrower insteps).
In the second part of this video, I show you an alternative way to start the afterthought heel. This method is perfect for when you need to mend a big hole in a sock heel and want to reconstruct everything.
In both methods, I made sure to show you all the fine details to prevent holes and create nice transitions and a well-rounded heel without ears the top.
