How To Make a Paper Mache Bowl

Supplies
Strips of Paper (Newspaper, notebook paper, magazines)
Bowl to use as a form (you choose the size)
Large Blow for mixing paste
Plastic Bag to cover bowl
Flour (2 Cups)
Water (1 Cup)
Whisk or fork
Scissors to cut designs in the finished bowls (optional)
Acrylic paint to paint the bowls (optional) Paintbrush to paint the bowls (Optional)

Steps
1. Tear Paper into strips
2. Make Papier-mâché paste
3. Cover working area with newspaper 4. Cover bowl with plastic bag, and flip it over so it is upside down on the table
5. Dip strips of newspaper into the paste and layer over the bowl
6. Keep layering till the bowl has been covered at least 3 times
7. Let it dry
8. Remove bowl, remove plastic
9. Use scissors to trim the edges of the bowl or add decorative edges
10. You can leave it or paint it

Adaptions
If the texture is unbearable children can wear gloves or have a helper cover the bowl with the Papier-mâché
