In this Live Soft Pastels Lesson recording I show how to paint water and the beach grasses and reeds that have volume and look realistic. When we paint water we pretty much always have to deal with reflections, here it's the reflections of the grasses and the blue sky. This demo is based on a live plein air sketch in a local harbor and uses the same technique of Wet Underpainting to give more vibrancy to summer greens.
The work was done on UART sanded paper.
