In today's video you'll see how I repaired a tear in a canvas and made it into something unique and beautiful! Because the damage was along the side of the canvas, it could not be repaired from the backside. I decided to try to repair it with collage papers and lots of gel medium, which acts as a heavy glue. The canvas is not only sturdy and repaired, I love the new direction that this project took my art! I can't wait to work on more mixed media collage paintings!
Collage papers are fun to make yourself, but you may also use newspaper, vintage wrapping paper, hand written letters, etc.
