Hello everyone! This video series was created with our customers in mind who have purchased our unprocessed field grown tulips which we sold in 2020. Normally we sell only bulbs which have been dried/separated and processed. During Covid we decided to sell these unprocessed bulbs, straight from our field, to give our customers the experience of what a bulb grower has to do, to get that nice shiny bulb to you in the Fall.
In this video Keriann and Jeroen are talking about storing tulip bulbs over the summer at home. Store them in a well ventilated container/bag/box, out of direct sunlight, between 65 and 80 degrees until the fall. Do not keep them in an uninsulated shed or garage where it gets very hot. Besides temperature, the bulbs need some air, don't put them in a closed off plastic bag! A large open paper bag/box works great. Be aware mice and other critters will like to snack on the bulbs.
