3D Printed DML build parts: http://www.typicalben.net/s/shop
Hello again - long time no see. I have finally gotten around to working on the hybrid DMLs again after a hectic month.
In this video I measure several panel configurations to see what yields the best frequency response overall.
The variables I measure are:
- Plain panel
- Braced Panel
- Panel with added mass (weights)
- Various exciter positions
- Dayton Thruster (DEAX32EP-4) vs 40w Steered flux (DAEX30SF-4) exciters.
I also talk about my quest for better decay times (faster speakers) and do a quick overview of the waterfall (decay) graph in Room EQ Wizard, which I use for all measurements.
