Sometimes, Pokémon gym leaders are a complete push-over, being beaten by simply spamming a super effective move. However, if we gave gym leaders 2 Pokémon type specialties, they'd be a lot more fun to play against. Let's explore the game design of making dual type Pokémon teams!

Corrections:
09 That cry is Drilbur's cry, not Drifblim's.
11 Facade doubles damage if the user has a status condition, what I should have used here is Hex, which doubles damage if the target has a status condition. Thanks to @scottr3237 for pointing this out.
51 Not a mistake with the moveset, but I just left out an explanation for Zen Headbutt. TL;DR, Gallade doesn't learn Psycho Cut until lvl 42 (too high for a 5th gym imho) and it's no longer a TM in Gen 9, so that's why I passed it up for another Sharpness move.
50 Sandstorm only raises the SpDef of Rock types, so it will not do that for Steelix.
48 Ice Spinner removes Terrain, not hazards
10 Snow does not double Defense, it only raises it by 50%
46 Heavy Slam is actually a pretty bad move for Duraludon as it is deceptively light!
26 Ice Spinner removes Terrain, not hazards
