VLOG 1: This video is all over the place. I didn't necessarily plan to make a vlog style video, but it was the best I could do with the hodgepodge of videos I created. The main aspect of this video is obviously the custom belt that I recently had the privilege to make!
A few months ago, Todd Susman, an actor and acting coach, reached out to me inquiring about a custom ordered belt. He wanted to gift the belt to a friend of his, who is also an actor. Todd was extremely genuine and willing to be as helpful as possible throughout the process. We had many back and forth emails for weeks, hammering out all the exact details. This is no different than any other custom order I take on; however, I was very excited to start this particular project. The actor that this belt went to is Hamish Allan-Headley, who is in the series Mayor of Kingstown! Some of you have probably not even heard of the series, but I had actually started watching it, prior to this encounter.
As corny as it may sound, having the opportunity to make a piece of functional art for someone I had watched on TV was very exciting! I have great respect for actors and the art they are able to produce. Being able to share my work with someone who understands and appreciates what it takes to build something from nothing is very blissful. I genuinely hope that Hamish will enjoy this belt for many years, if not the rest of his life. Based on all the great stories and details I have received from Todd, he is a very hardworking individual with much success ahead of him. Hamish, if you ever read this, I appreciate what you do and wish you nothing but the best throughout your career!
