I used a 3D printer to make a model of the AW-2 gong whistle, which is installed on Japanese electric locomotives. Since I don't have any blueprints or the actual whistle, I designed it by analyzing the sound of photos on the internet and videos I had taken in the past.
The blowing principle seems to be air column resonance.
