Bhāratiya Darshan Vicār moves from gross - sthūla, to subtle - sūksham, materialist to idealist, from manifest to conceptual. Of the six schools - Shad-Darshan, Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika is considered the first pair as it deals with this material jagat and how it is experienced. However, they share with other systems the search for ekrūpta in multiplicity, the primacy of Ātmā and the ultimate search for Ātma-sākṣātkāra to free oneself from trividh-dukh. To enable this, the two systems lay down specific epistemology and ontology.
