We heard that BARBERS POINT (opened in September 2020), located in Nagoya and with a good old American atmosphere and surf culture, was opening a second shop. We following them closely from the start of construction to the opening of the shop.
The name of the new shop is “Seven Pines Barbers Point”, because it is located in “Hichi-hon-matsu”. What a nice name!
We asked Mr. Asada, the owner, about everything needed to do before the opening, including the construction costs and store rent, which I was concerned about.
I hope this will be helpful to those who are thinking about opening a shop or wanting to have a shop in the future.

The construction budget is 10 million yen.
The process until the new shop opened was like this ↓
2023
February → I heard about the shop opening a new store and started filming.
April → They gave up on a contract because the property they wanted was too old.
End of April → A new property came up and they signed a contract immediately.
May → Demolition work began.
June → Renovation work started.
August → Store opened.
During the interview, we talked about how Asada became a barber, how he became independent, and looked back on his life so far. There are many dramas in life. Being able to witness a part of Mr. Asada's life as a barber was an extremely valuable experience for us. Congratulations on your opening!
