I organize sword appreciation ceremonies with licensed Japanese swordsmith Yasha Yukawa. Please enjoy this compilation video filmed over the last few years at Mouri Mansion, Garden, and Teahouse.
Nowadays, sword appreciation ceremonies are usually held in modern office buildings with the swords being displayed on the regular office table. However, we thought, isn't there any way that we can appreciate swords in a special, historical environment that would truly respect the ancient craft of sword making? Thus, Yasha Yukawa and I decided to organize events here at the Mouri Estate. Participants can sit on a tatami floor, and engage with the traditional Japanese lifestyle, so we thought it would be perfect. It’s also surrounded by the beautiful garden, which provides a nice atmosphere.
