Observation of Japanese Tit nesting (Nest Box 2) on days 49 to 52, and chicks' age from 15 to 19 days in 2023. Although the video is long, the process leading up to fledging has been condensed into one. Unexpectedly, in broad daylight just before noon, the chicks fledged suddenly. The parents had been on alert since morning, and they might have actually intended to fledge in the morning... Fledging comes in various timings.
On this day, despite the strong winds tossing the chicks into the outside world's rough waves, they gradually moved away, eventually disappearing amidst the fresh greenery. Four days later, some of them came to play on the tree near the house! I hope they manage to survive somehow in the future...
★Next time, I plan to create a video of Coal Tit nesting (Nest Box 3), but it might take a bit longer.
