In 2023, observing the second nesting attempt of Japanese Tits, from the 23rd to the 27th day of monitoring the first nest box, capturing the moments from the 4th to the 8th day after hatching.
The mother Japanese Tit in the overly nervous first nest box is utterly perplexed as her chicks simply won't fit under her belly... However, whether due to intense territorial disputes with the pair in the second nest box or my close proximity as an observer, she has started vigilantly watching the outside for extended periods. Despite the first nest box being the closest to humans, one wonders why they chose to nest here... It's quite a challenge for me too, as I need to be considerate... 😆
