She is Fatima, the daughter of the Messenger of God Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the daughter of Khadija bint Khuwaylid. She was born in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. She is the youngest daughter of the Prophet in age. Ali bin Abi Talib - may God be pleased with him - married her, and that was after the Battle of Uhud in Medina, and she was eight years old at that time. Ten years old, she gave birth to Al-Hassan, Al-Hussein, Umm Kulthum and Zainab, may God be pleased with them all, and Fatima was one of the most honorable of people to her father - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - until he said in her: “The Lady of the Women of the Worlds, and she is the first to make a coffin for him in Islam.”
Fatima - may God be pleased with her - is a dignified, patient, good-natured lady, content with what God has given her, patient with all that has befallen her.
And she - may God be pleased with her - faced a lot of harm in her life, and she saw the torment of the infidels of Quraysh for her father - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - in Mecca before the migration, and she witnessed the divorce of her two sisters from the two sons of Abu Lahab.
Fatima al-Zahra, may God be pleased with her, gave birth to Ali ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, several sons and daughters, the grandsons of the Prophet, and they are: Hassan, Hussein, Muhsin, Umm Kulthum and Zainab.
