According to one local we talked to off camera, it’s difficult to get any of the old timers in this historic neighborhood to divulge secrets from the past. Instead, they tend to keep a tight lid on the history of the original townsite, believing the past should be kept in the past. However, despite this we still managed to uncover some interesting stories about the original townsite of Las Cruces.
