VIDEO DESCRIPTION - This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this seasonal landscape image of "FALL BIRCH TREES" with acrylic paint and a palette knife. You'll learn simple painting techniques that will help you to develop a realistic country forest with tall white birch trees, an inviting path and vibrant autumn foliage. The change of seasons from summer to fall brings along a change in the color of leaves in certain trees and bushes in different regions of the world. In this painting you will learn how to create a representational image with the iconic yellow leaf colors of the imposing grand birch trees, as well as, impressionistic ground foliage with sticks and bushes in various autumn tones. Using a gradient blending technique we'll create a background for the scene that provides an enchanted atmospheric dimension to the depth of the forest, which also provides good visual balance throughout the design. This painting is created in an impressionistic style using a stippling technique for much of the foliage, an easy blending process for the sky and land, and a painting knife to create the bark on the tree trunks, branches and sticks on the ground, which will provide a realistic textured look. You could use your imagination to customize this image to represent a distinct type of tree, such as oak, pine, poplar, beech, maple or dogwood. You could also change the path to be a road, stream or brook that snakes it way through the woods, or you could change the color of the background to a blue to give it a sunny sky look. You'll learn how to paint this landscape image filled with crisp notes of the cool season leading up to winter. Using simple painting techniques to add color contrast, as well as highlights and shadows, you'll bring the image to life with a 3-d photo realistic quality with a hint of abstract style to it. You'll learn how to utilize a dark background for an easy way to add dimension in the tree tops and on the ground. Let your painting scream with autumnal colors, showing a natural phenomenon that captivates nature lovers, like myself. With the construction of the composition you'll have fun with the simplicity of the process, but you'll also learn some valuable lessons that you can utilize in future work! This painting is sure to impress the viewer and compliment the décor of any room. Using only 2 brushes, 1 painting knife and 6 colors we'll create this conversational masterpiece with a magnificent lively seasonal energy. So let's get painting and let's get sipping!
