The Torso T-1 is an algorithmic sequencer for synths and modular. You can use it to create music using generative patterns, and the results sound quite wonderful. In this tutorial video I show how to use the T-1 with a small Eurorack modular system to make techno.
The T-1 takes a very different approach to music making. Instead of the standard step-sequencer it uses Euclidean sequencing and randomised melodies all quantised to a scale. The closest in features is probably the Conductive Labs NDLR, but the T-1 is more hands-on and playable.
The T-1 works well with standard MIDI controlled synths, but using it with a modular is tricky. In this video I'll explain everything you need to know to get started using the T-1, hook it up to your modular, and make some banging Techno music!
