I have always had this vague thought of "I want to do it when I turn about 70 years old." For me, it is a challenging thing, but for everyone else, it may seem like "Oh, just that?". It's embarrassing to admit, but when I was young, I used to label everything about this lifestyle and the things that come with it as "feudalistic." That's why I have never learned the art of arranging flowers or wearing kimono.
But, for some reason, I suddenly started thinking, "I should try wearing a kimono when I'm around 70." No, it's not because I suddenly awakened to Japanese culture or anything like that. It's simply because I think it would be cool.
However, when it comes to kimono, it's something that my mother used to dress me in. I don't know how to put it on by myself. So, starting from last summer, I started attending a kimono dressing class at "Ginza Ichiri" that I found on the internet. I am not affiliated with Ginza Ichiri, but I personally felt that it was very good, so I wanted to share it.

So, please listen to my personal impressions from here on.
First of all, the one thing I felt initially is that "the path of kimono dressing is quite challenging." The teacher guides me, sometimes strictly and sometimes gently, even though I am a slow learner.
Secondly, kimono is fun! The weaving and dyeing of kimono are like haute couture dresses. It's wonderful to be able to wear them.
And finally, I have made many friends, including the teacher. Everyone enjoys their kimono life smartly, utilizing recycled shops and the internet.
I haven't finished organizing my belongings from the move yet, but I will create something enjoyable for my 70s.
