Video Not Working? Fix It Now

We will discuss the cerebrum, the cerebral cortex layer, and the different lobes of the brain along with their function, anatomy, and physiology. This video makes neurology and brain anatomy easy and is great for students, medical learners, nurses, USMLE, NCLEX, and much more!

The cerebral cortex can be divided into 4 main lobes: frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, and temporal lobe. Each lobe of the cerebrum has its own anatomy and function including executive functioning, movement, and processing sensory stimuli such as touch, vision, hearing, taste, smell, and proprioception

The cerebrum is made up of an outer grey matter layer called the cerebral cortex that surrounds the inner white matter layer. The folded cortex forms gyri (gyrus) and sulci (sulcus).

You will also learn simple tricks to remember the main functions of each lobe, and receive a brief discussion on the limbic system and insular cortex.
