I use Saunders Waterford cold pressed paper, indigo, burnt umber, raw sienna and paynes grey, and prussian blue, with hake and flat brushes and a small calligraphy brush, but please feel free to use whatever colours and brushes you like and are comfortable with if you try something similar.
My board is at an angle of about 45-60 degrees.
