This is from a winters night in some old scottish woods with a minimal setup.. the temprate rainforest environment is a very damp and cold place to be, and it presents its own challenges and can be quite inhospitable.. but with a wee bit of knowledge and experience.. it becomes a sanctuary
During my time here, I only used windblown trees as I have no intention of harvesting healthy living trees in this environment.. some of these trees will have an ancient lineage..
These are very special woods to me.. I do my best to be aware of my actions and move through it with respect.. these woods are rare windows into the past.. a small remnant of what was once everywhere..
