Hello! I have been going through a bit of artist's block lately. So, I decided to have some fun, play with colors and paint a zebra. Sometimes, I get so caught up in coming up with new ideas, that I forget to just play with paint and see what happens. Right now, the outside world around me has been pretty colorless and blah. I find winter in the northeast to be an inspiration sucking time of year. So, I said to myself "Lydia, (which is what I always call myself) you need to play with some ridiculously vibrant colors and get out of your head!" And that's what I did. Is it a masterpiece? No... But it sure was fun to paint. I found the reference photo on unsplash.com and the photographer is Nick Lamon. So, if you want to paint the side profile of a zebra, it's a good reference.
