►The plan for Vin's Mk2 GTI swap was simple: remove the original engine and install the 2.8L VR6 from a Corrado donor car. Unfortunately, it didn't take long to realize the donor engine would not cut it. Tearing it down in the shop revealed a few issues that took away the hope of it being the right choice for the build. Without a backup option, the choice was made to dive into the FCP Euro catalog, tear the VR6 entirely apart, and rebuild it better than ever with bigger camshafts and fresh, high-compression pistons.
