Symptoms of thrush include redness and irritation at the corners of the mouth, tongue pain, diminished taste sensation, and frequent occurrence of mouth ulcers.
Redness and a tingling sensation in the mouth may not only be caused by fungal Candida species but could also indicate a condition associated with Helicobacter pylori in the stomach. Some individuals may fall in the gray area between gastritis and gastric cancer, so it's important to be cautious.
