Mountain Rd. – Epsom, NH.
Mountain Rd., in Epsom NH. Has three distinct sections. The first begins off Center Hill Rd. and runs for approximately 3.73 miles between Center Hill Rd. and Swamp Rd. The second section, named Old Mountain Rd. begins just south of Swamp Rd., and runs south another 0.81 miles to the junction with the Class VI Nute Rd., this will be covered in another video.
In this video, we’ll cover section 1 from Center Hill Rd. to Swamp Rd. The Class VI section of Mountain Rd. begins 1.7 miles from Center Hill Rd., and continues 1.59 miles to its end near the parking lot for the Fort Mountain hiking trail.
At the start, the road drops down a small hill, splashes through a decent size puddle, and continues in a southerly direction passing through a recently logged area. Running along between 800’ and 1000’ elevation, the road climbs and passes through several good mud holes/water crossings and finally reaches its end at the junction with Swamp Rd.
