She’s just 22, yet she manages to captivate audiences all over the world: the Catalan trombone player and singer Rita Payés. Payés breaks down barriers between classical music and fado, bolero or a simple lullaby. This old soul with the heart of a lion certainly was one of the highlights of Music Meeting Festival 2022 in Nijmegen.
