This is a walkthrough of how I installed a Kenwood DMX 7709s head unit and a backup camera to my 2015 Mazda MX-5 with the Bose sound system. The head unit modernizes the interior and is great for displaying navigation details. While the backup camera isn't necessary, I find it useful for backing out when the PRHT is up since there are massive blind spots. I install the head unit, highlight important aspects of the wiring and how to retain steering wheel controls, how to add parking brake bypass and how to route reverse camera wiring without drilling into your bumper.
