Happy New Year!
I moved to my parents' house at the end of the year. I have yet to organize my belongings and my family's belongings are still there, so my home is in a state of confusion. I could not even prepare for New Year's. Then, my eldest son contacted me to make Osechi for me.
Then I received a call from my eldest son saying that he would make and send me Osechi.
He said he is making osechi for the first time this year because he is too busy to come here.
Thanks a lot! I will send it the other way around, though.
Sorting through my parents' stuff is still going on.
I opened the cardboard boxes that contained my grandmother's clothes and found clothes that I could still wear. It seems to have gone a few rounds and turned out just fine.
Faced with a huge amount of stuff, I decided to declutter, but some of the clothes were sewn by my mother for my grandmother, and I don't think I'll be able to get rid of them.
It has been a hectic New Year's, but I also enjoyed a little bit of the New Year's spirit. I baked rice cakes in Shichirinde and had tea with New Year's sweets that my eldest son brought me, and that was it.
I hope you enjoy this modest New Year's scene in an old house in the countryside.
