Today we are going to do an Oreo cake without oven
The ingredients that we are going to use are to following ones:
20 cookies Oreo kind
120g of sugar
200g of cream cheese Philadelphia kind
300ml of whipping cream with approximately a 35% of fat
90ml of milk
50g of butter
And 4 leaves of neutral jelly or 5g of neutral jelly powder
First of all, we will separate the cream of the cookies, so we put the cookies at one side and the cream on other container. I am going to put the cream directly on the saucepan so we don’t waste any. And we do this with all the cookies
We are going to melt the butter using the microwave at low power in intervals of 30 seconds each. Once melted, we will wait the butter to be cooler while we keep on with our recipe.
We already separated all the cream from the cookies and now we are going to put in a dish with cold water the leaves of jelly. We dip the leaves and we let them there.
Now, in the saucepan that we had with the cream of the cookies, we have to add the sugar and the cheese cream or Philadelphia. We turn the fire on at mid fire and we whip it up till it melts. Once melted, we add the milk and we keep on whipping at mid-fire for a couple of minutes. It’s been five minutes, so we remove the saucepan from the fire as we can see that it’s all melted and there is not any lump of cheese. Then we take the wet jelly and we wring it till we drain all the water. Once we drain all the water we put the jelly on our mixture and we whip it so it integrates the mixture.
The jelly is already added so we let the mixture refresh as we keep on with the recipe.
While the mixture is refreshing we are going to crush the cookies, I am going to do it with a home crusher, but if you don’t have one you can do it as well with a mortar or with a mixer. So we are going to triturate them till remain as dust.
Here we have a little more than the half of the cookies and the butter is cool so we are going to add it and we are going to mix it well. The butter is already mixed with the cookies and we have prepared the cake mold. It’s a detachable cake mold of 18cm of diameter and I have put a greaseproof paper below, if you want to know the exact model I am going to let it below on the description. So we put the cookies on the mold and once putted we are going to flatten them with a spoon or our hands, as you want. Once the base is ready we put it on the fridge.
Next, we are going to whip the whipping cream. The cream, the bowl and the whisks that we are going to use are very cold, so we are going to begin whipping it. We already have the cream half-whipped, is very important to not whip it fully because it could get wasted when we mix it with our previous mixture. So half-whipped we are going to add it to the cold mixture. Once added we are going to mix it well using surrounds movements so the cream don’t bring down.
We already have our mixture ready and we have taken the base from the fridge so we are going to put the mixture over. We have added all the cream already and we have putted a film above to put it on the fridge, it has to chill at least a minimum of six hours.
It’s been six hours and we have taken the cake from the fridge to unmold it.
We have already unmolded the cake and we are going to put the rest of the smashed cookies above, if your mold can be opened from one side you can put the smashed cookies with the cake on the mold, but with my mold I couldn’t so I took it off and now I am going to put it again carefully. And now I am going to put the smashed cookies with the help of a strainer so it won’t be any bit.
We have finished already putting the cookies above and our Oreo cake is finished. You can enjoy it like this that is pretty creamy or you can freeze it too, I assure that it is tasty both ways.
