Norfolk & Western #611, Oneida to Chattanooga, TN, October, 13 & 14 1990

Here we find the Norfolk & Western “J Class” #611 making the return trip to Chattanooga, TN from Oneida, TN. The route is known as “The Rathole” due to the twist and turn of the right away and the many tunnels on the route. Many of the locations are remote and very scenic along the way with the fall foliage and the mountains providing great scenery.
