In today's episode, I plant Aristolochia tomentosa, which is the native pipevine. In the video, I show the bonap map, which features the native range for this plant in green. Dark green is native to state, whereas the light green is native to those counties. So, if you know I live in Knox County, TN, then you will see it is not native to my county, but it is to my state. I'm still trying to get my hands on macrophylla, which is native to my county. Macrophylla is also the one with more drought resistance. Both of these pipevines feed the native Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly. This is why I am planting them. I'll be adding fencing and trellises asap for the vines to grow onto. I hope you enjoy this one!
