📌 Ingredients for 6 servings:

1 whole piece of pork (neck, leg, back) (approx. 1.2 -1.5 kg)
1 teaspoon paprika (sweet)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
40 ml of oil
2 teaspoons cumin seeds
3 pieces of dry onion
1 bell pepper (red)
4 cloves of garlic
1.5 kg of pink potatoes
1 bay leaf
salt and black pepper (to taste)
150 ml of white wine
200 ml of water

🔪 Preparation

1. In a bowl mix: salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Sprinkle this mixture over the piece of meat, on all sides.
2. Put the seasoned meat in a clean bag and leave it at room temperature for half an hour while you deal with the vegetables.
3. Heat the oil in a pan, then add the cumin seeds. Stir continuously for 2-3 minutes, then add the scallion and bell pepper and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Put the pan aside, add the rest of the spices: thyme, bay leaf, salt, pepper and the sliced garlic.
5. In a pan greased with a little oil, put the vegetables that were boiled earlier. Place the seasoned meat on top of the vegetables and quarter or slice the potatoes around it. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.
6. Pour the white wine and water into the pan, then cover the pan with aluminum foil (or a lid) and put it in the oven. The oven must be preheated to 180 degrees!
7. After 30 minutes open the oven, remove the foil and turn the meat on the other side. Cover the pan again with aluminum foil and return the steak to the oven for another 20-30 minutes or until the meat is tender. If you want it more browned, leave it uncovered in the oven for 10 minutes.
8. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing. It is served warm, with pickled cucumbers, vinegar donuts, pickled donuts, etc.
