We kick things off with a clean-up honing of the cylinder to ensure optimal performance, before thoroughly cleaning the engine block. We reveal our simple but highly effective trick for cleaning the oil gallery and other oil passages to perfection.
Following that, we provide a step-by-step guide on installing the main bearings and torquing the 16 main bearing cap bolts using a 19-stage procedure from Ford.
