The preserved railway scene once again goes from strength to strength, with heritage railways seeing visiting numbers on the rise as the popularity of preserved railways has now risen and with the clever marketing of a certain famous locomotive's return and the popular Santa specials. Heritage railways are now reaching out to more than just the enthusiast fraternity.
This video features my favourite scenes from across the big name railways and a couple of the smaller heritage railways. As always the Severn Valley Railway & The Great Central Railway feature heavily as these are my local railways. The compilation features 54 scenes, 36 locomotives and 29 classes of engines ! The footage is shot over nine railways featuring a wide range of movements. All locomotives and locations are given a brief description in the video. If you have any questions about any selected scene please feel free to ask in the comments below !
This video is dedicated to all the volunteers who dedicate there time and knowledge, to keep these preserved lines in working order, which without there contribution this video would not be possible !
I hope you enjoy my favorite scenes from 2016, all the best for the new year and thanks for your continued support & feedback throughout the year.
