Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This is a weekend challenge by two Japanese office workers, trying to spark off the dawn of civilization in the middle of the forest of Japan.

We are only able to use stuffs we can get in the nature, rocks instead of knifes, roots instead of ropes.

We are willing to introduce some Jomon-era techniques, which is the primitive age of Japan, so we hope you enjoy it.

In this video, we made fire from scratch, using rocks, branches, and barks.

It took us nearly 7 weekends (15 days), since the branch had to dry up completely.

The Jomon people also used this hand drill style to make fire.
