Queensland, where many tourists and visitors from different countries come on visit visa subclass 600. From September 2023, this state is sponsoring or nominating skilled workers from countries outside Australia to come to work and live. No job offer is required for these visas.
There are two visa options:
Skilled Nominated Permanent visa or subclass 190 – which allows the people to live in Australia on permanent residency
Skilled Work Regional Provisional visa or subclass 491- which is given for 5 years and the workers on this visa can apply for a permanent residency just after 4 years.
Queensland state government published a list of skill occupation on their official website for these work permit visas. The applicants must have any of the skill in that list. Australia gives work permit visa to skilled applicants only. Though there are several other youtubers making video on unskilled works such as cleaner, fruit picking or fol para, komola para, angur para, malta para etc' fruit packeting or packing, komola para, dokaner kormochari or supermarket worker etc which are not true. The skill occupation list shows the skill names, which category of work permit visa is offered whether subclass 491 visa or subclass 190 visa for these occupations. The required experience is mentioned in years. There are several agricultural, trade skills along with high skills occupations such as corporate works, engineers, ICT or IT professionals are in that skilled occupation list. Currently here are more than 400 skills in that list.
The Australian immigration department or department of home affairs has made the application process simple too. Though there are three steps for the application of these Australian work permit visas, but can be done in the same immigration website through the online IMMI account.
The steps are given here:
First check your eligibility and gather documents.
Then submit an EOI or Expression of interest at IMMI account mentioning Queensland as only state of interest. There is no cost for submitting an EOI, which is actually the initial application.
The Queensland state government will send Invitations to suitable candidates to apply for state nomination. The applicants will need to go to the same IMMI account and apply for the queensland state sponsorship.
What is required:
Skill assessment of the skill of the applicant. You need to verify that you have the skill based on your education and experience by sending documents.
English skill: Competent English, which means minimum IELTS 6 or equivalent in PTE, TOEFL etc.
75 points for 190 and 65 points for 491. This point will come from your qualifitaion, experience, English skill etc. watch my video on point calculation video.
