Refining Mixed Media Collage: Sticking With It To The End
When you are presented with a lot of problems, do you assume that you’ve done something wrong? Well, maybe we could learn to make better choices from the start, but overall, I think that creating artwork just inherently presents constant problems to be solved. You’re not doing anything wrong, but simply engaging with the process.
Here are the things I’ve had to learn how to develop so I could stick with the process for as long as it took:
1. remaining flexible as the painting too turns I didn’t expect
2. being willing to give up things I’ve worked on so that the painting could move forward
3. sticking it out to the end and being willing for it to fail in order to have the chance of it succeeding
