I recently visited "Take-Tei," a Western-style restaurant located in Suminoe, Osaka, just a minute's walk from Nankai Suminoe Station. This beloved local gem has even been featured on TV, known especially for its incredible beef stew and demi- glace sauce.
Run entirely by the owner, who handcrafts every dish with care, Take-Tei offers a personal and authentic dining experience. The owner, a reggae music enthusiast, fills the restaurant with the sound of vinyl records throughout both preparation and service, all while cooking with a calm, friendly smile.
The rich, slowly simmered demi-glace sauce has a slightly bitter, sophisticated taste that bursts with flavor in every bite. Paired with the soothing sound of records playing in the background, enjoying Western-style dishes in this cozy setting was pure bliss.
