ARP rods bolts need to be stretched to spec, are you getting that proper stretch with just a torque wrench? I did some testing on different thread lubricants vs ARP fastener lube with a Snap on digital torque wrench vs a stretch gauge. Using ARP SBC Rod bolts (tests performed multiple times on different bolts to confirm results)
**Bolts are not being reused after testing as I don't trust them now, but none of the bolts tested stretched more than .001 from original size (ARP spec)**
NOTE: Remember to have you rods resized when ARP Bolts are installed! The clamping force is greater with arp bolts causing the bore to distort.
