Magh Krushna 12 – 13/Feb/22: Shree Gondavalekar Maharaj Jayanti

SanUtsav (Festival) Series Playlist: 8 - 'Aum Datta Shreepad Narsimha Swami Samartha' - 108 times
On the sacred occasion of Gurupratipada (Magh Krushna - 1, 17/Feb/22), we are very glad to launch this Mahamantra, which propitiates the MahaAvatars of Parabrahman, The Supreme Lord of the Universe, Shree Swami Samartha.
Gurupratipada is the holy day when Shree Nrusimha Saraswati, after installing the extremely auspicious 'Nirgun Padukas' at Gangapur, left for the sacred mountain, Shree Shaila Parvat (Andhra Pradesh). From there, He proceeded to and disappeared in the neighbouring Kardali Vana forest, sanctified by austere penances of many sages and ascetics
This Divine Mantra is a part of Shree Swami Samartha Atharvashirsha, composed by Late Shree Nagesh Karambelkar Kaka.
Kaka, in the book 'Tridal' says that since all these Avatars are powerful renunciates, chanting their names invokes the same quality of dispassion (Vairagya) in us.
As a result –
1) We are able to overcome our internal enemies, the ‘shad-ripus’ (Desire – anger – greed – attachment – vanity – envy).
2) Our Nyan Indriyas - the five sense organs - eyes, ears, nose, tongue & skin and Karma Indriyas - the 5 motor organs of action - mouth, hands, feet and organs of reproduction (genitals) & excretion (anus) are all sanctified and
3) Our mind, & its innermost recesses, intellect, ego, (mana - chitta - buddhi - ahankara) and our samskaras (impressions of earlier births which create vasanas - desires) are purified.
All this hastens our journey from the darkness of ignorance to ‘The Light of The Self’.
Let us all regularly chant the mantra and move towards eternal freedom.
