Using a slotted ruler as the main tool, I show beginning steps to cut scrap fabric into usable-size strips. Any slotted cutting ruler, like June Taylor or the Stripology XL by GE Designs, work nicely. There are many patterns for using Jelly Rolls (trademark name for 2 1/2" strips) and Honey Buns (trademark for 1 1/2" strips), so those are good choices for a starting point. Also shown are a couple options for how to store or sort the strips for ease of use.
