In this final installment of Serger Saturday for Quilters, Sara Gallegos shares her absolute favorite use for a serger on quilts: making perfect bindings. She uses fusible thread on the lower looper, regular serger thread on the upper loopers, and—with a few specific tricks—creates the perfect quilt binding.
Notions used: Wonderfil Iron n Fuse thread, Madeira Aerolock thread (40 weight), Reliable Senza 200DS iron, Clover Wonder Clips, stiletto. (The quilted sample was made using Westalee Design Quilting Templates and rulerwork foot.)
