Silicone mat instead of Gelli Plate? SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENT #tipsandtricks

Hello dearies. Welcome (back) to the Craft Kitchen.
Or should I say the Craft Lab?
For some time now I've toyed with the idea of eihter getting a Gelli Plate or maybe making my own. But both are almost equally expensive. So, again I was thinking about "Why should a silicone mat AKA baking mat not work?"
I found the answer while researching lithograpy / flatbed printing and remembering my job training. The solution for getting a decent print using a silicone mat instead of a Gelli Plate is... almost too easy.
