Romanian plain polenta is made from only 3 ingredients: water, coarse cornmeal and salt. This kind of simple polenta is the most common way of preparation in Romania and is loved by most Romanians.
It is a traditional dish. It does not contain gluten! The polenta is also prepared with other ingredients: whey, milk, cream, cheese, etc. and also with a different consistency, softer or harder. It depends on how and with what we serve it.
It is a very healthy food!
It is not difficult to prepare, we just have to be patient, boil it over medium heat and mix very often and thoroughly.
In 30 minutes the polenta is ready.
