In this video lesson, we will explore the basic features of Ansys Nuhertz Filter Solutions tool and synthesize a low pass 5th order Chebyshev filter for aircraft altimeter application. We will export the filter prototype into Ansys HFSS inside the Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) and simulate it. We will show optimization feature of AEDT to refine the filter results for optimum performance and then wrap the microstrip filter on a curved surface and compare its results with planar version.
