Splitting & Dividing Leggy Heucheras is really easy to do and a great way to get free beautiful plants for the garden.

The best time to do this is in Spring or Autumn. And you just need to dig up your Heuchera as after about 3 or 4 years youโ€™ll notice they start to grow long leggy stems which can get quite tall.

Once you have the plant out of the ground, just pull each single stem apart, take off all the lower leaves and cut the stem to about 2 inches long, take off most of the leaves so the cutting doesnโ€™t have to try and give all its energy to lots of leaves, and bury the 2 inch stem either straight into the border or into a pod of multipurpose composed.

Keep it nice and well watered and youโ€™ll have lots of new little plants!
