TN 453: January 10, 1988.

A two-part edited sequence of a Trans Australia Airlines (TAA) Airbus A300-B4 flight sector from the old Eagle Farm Airport in Brisbane (Runway 04) to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (Runway 07).

As the Australian Government-owned domestic carrier set-up after the Second World War, TAA was referred to as "The Nation's Jetline" and for many years had a mandated 50/50 share of the domestic market with privately owned Ansett Airlines (an Ansett 767 can be seen taxiing in to the Brisbane terminal).

In 1986 the airlines' name was changed to Australian Airlines. At the time of filming, the process of altering aircraft liveries was only partially complete and some aircraft (such as this A300B4) retained their older paint-schemes.

In 1993, TAA was merged with Qantas.

Part 1: Start-up, pushback, taxi, take-off and initial climb sequences.
Part 2: Descent, approach, landing and taxi-in segments of the flight.
