This is an easy to follow recipe for delicious dressing.
Ingredients:
2 boxes Jiffy Cornbread mix
(eggs and milk for cornbread mix)
2 boxes Stove Top stuffing (savory herbs)
2 cans Campbell's cream of chicken
8 cups chicken stock
1 bell pepper (diced)
1 large onion (diced)
3 stalks celery (diced)
5-6 cloves of garlic (chopped(
2 Tbs butter
4 tsp ground sage
2 tsp ground thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Prepare cornbread as directed.
2. Sautee vegetables with butter in a skillet until soft and translucent.
3. Place sautéed vegetables in a blender with 1 cup chicken stock. Blend until smooth.
4. Crumble cornbread in a baking dish. Add Stove top stuffing mix, vegetable puree, cream of chicken soup, and seasonings.
5. Slowly and gradually add chicken stock until mixure is fully combined and has a creamy texture.
6. Bake in 375 degree oven for 40-45 minutes.
